I found this image from a blog online but does not reference to what anime these girls were cos-playing. Heres the image below:

Does anyone know what anime they are cos-playing in the picture?

Did the blog say that these people were cosplayers? This looks pretty generic and seems like it might even be an actual uniform somewhere. – senshin Jun 11 '14 at 23:41
You should click for the full resolution. It's hard to make out any details, with the overlay obscuring the details. – ʞɹɐzǝɹ Jun 12 '14 at 0:54

After doing some interesting reverse image searching, I found that this picture actually came from a gravure magazine called "Ultimate Top Of Beauty". Vol.201 from February 2011 to be specific (SFW). The picture you posted is on page 12.

page13 ! page12 !

As you can see, it was only part of the original picture. The complete picture would consist of page 12 and 13 combined. On a side note, Japanese read from right to left, so page 13 is shown on the left instead of the right).

title !

These three girls are part of a Japanese idol girl group called "No Sleeves" (ノースリーブス aka No3b, which is pronounced the same as the singular "No sleeve" in Japanese). "No Sleeves" is a subunit of AKB48. The girl in dark blue is Haruna Komjima, the girl in orange is Minami Minegishi and the girl in red is Minami Takahashi.

So they weren't cosplaying after all.
