Oct 28, 2013 at 14:58 comment added Masked Man @debal No, I did not say that all genjutsu stops the flow of time, but the Moon's Eye Plan uses Infinite Tsukuyomi, so it is reasonable that it behaves like Itachi's Tsukuyomi. Moreover, Madara, Obito and Hashirama have said a number of times that the Moon's Eye Plan will be the end of the real world, and my theory seems consistent with this. Let's just wait a few more chapters, Madara's "trump card" is still to be revealed, and he is already making plans to complete the Moon's Eye Plan. He will surely reveal some more details soon. :)
Oct 28, 2013 at 11:21 comment added Masked Man You see, time stops in the real world once the illusion starts. Nothing ever happens in the real world after that. That's what I meant by real world becomes irrelevant. In-universe, Hashirama also points out that falling into the illusion is the same as "dying". I am pretty sure this is what he meant, not that people would literally die.
Oct 28, 2013 at 10:02 comment added krikara This answer is very well crafted. The only thing that bothers me and I don't know if I agree with is The real world becomes irrelevant once the illusion starts. If the real world becomes irrelevant, then all life will (eventually) cease to exist, and this isn't part of Madara's ideal plan. Unless perhaps life continues indefinitely in the genjutsu.
Oct 28, 2013 at 8:50 comment added debal i would like to mention that not all genjutsu stops the flow of tiem, look at Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, with that Itachi Uchiha was put under a genjutsu and that too in real time. So maybe there is something similar in the moon's eye plan. The target believe's what the user wants them to believe without interfering with their day to day activities.
