In Tokyo Ghoul episode 5 around 10:08 - 10:20, there's a song Tsukiyama is playing on piano in the chapel.

What is that song?

This might be relevant but when Tsukiyama stopped playing after he noticed Kaneki and Nishio, he asked Kaneki if he is a fan of Beethoven. This might help narrow down the search :) – W. Are Nov 29 '18 at 7:34
  • I tried searching for beethoven songs that use the organ, (what I think Tsukiyama was playing), but alas no success. – Curious Fella Nov 29 '18 at 7:42
  • I tried too, with no success. If it is another of his work that was originally not played in an organ but was covered in the anime with an organ (dunno if this was done in classical pieces before), that would be trickier to find. The closest thing I could find was this: youtube.com/watch?v=8pFNA8o9eog But it's Bach's, not Beethoven's. Maybe others would have more luck searching. – W. Are Nov 29 '18 at 7:51
  • My gut feeling based on the overall style, structure, and melody is that it's not Beethoven, particularly since the recordings I could dig up of Beethoven's organ works were a lot more classical in sensibility. – Maroon Nov 29 '18 at 20:10
  • @W.Are: I tried looking through the score; the toccata doesn't really match up with what's in Tokyo Ghoul, unfortunately. – Maroon Nov 29 '18 at 20:13
