It was said that Kefla was strong enough to kill Ultra Instinct Goku when they fought. Also, a lot of power scalers in the Dragon Ball Community are saying Kefla is even stronger than Super Saiyan Blue Vegito from the Future Trunks arc. How is that possible?

Well for starters, let us examine the factors that influence the strength of a Potara fusion.

  • The first obvious factor would be the characters who fuse/ take part in the fusion. It would logically make sense for a fusion between stronger characters to be > than a fusion between weaker characters. For example, a fusion between Goten and Trunks was Effortlessly pummeled by a Base Vegeta on account of his superior strength.
  • A potara fusion also stacks additional multipliers. In the Buu saga when the fusion was first introduced, Goku contemplates fusing with Hercule who is substantially weaker than him. This proves that there is still some benefit from the fusion. More information regarding character Gokule can be seen here
  • Finally, in Episode 114 in DBS, Shin states that a fusion between Android 17 and 18 would be ideal as they are Compatible. So one can assume maybe the compatibility between the charaters result in a superior fusion

With regard to whether Kefla is stronger than Vegito

  • The Vegito from the Buu Saga is obviously weaker than Kefla. Caulifla and Kale are substantially more powerful than the Goku and Vegeta from the Buu Saga. Hence, it would logically make sense for Kefla to be stronger.
  • Based on the above logic, it would obviously make sense for Vegito from the Goku Black arc to be several time stronger than Kefla. SSJ2 Caulifla at the very least is comparable to SSJ2 Goku/Vegeta. Kale on the other hand at the very least, is comparable to SSJG Goku. Even if you consider Kale to be equivalent to SSJB Goku or Vegeta/ it still wouldn't make a difference as Caulifla is clearly no where close to Super Saiyan Blue.
  • The next main factor is based on compatibility. The compatibility between Goku + Vegeta and Kale + Caulifla is more or less identical as in both cases, they belong to the same race and also belong to the same gender and there really isn't any reason to indicate Kefla is a much more compatible fusion in comparison to Vegito

Also, I don't believe Kefla was ever strong enough to "Kill" UI Goku. This misconception stems from comments made by Krillin and Roshi. I believe these comments were made simply based off concern and that Roshi and Krillin clearly have no idea with regard to Goku's level of power. During Goku's second fight with Jiren, the latter uses a punch which Goku describes as the strongest attack he's ever seen and the power of which scares goku out of his SSJB form. Goku then proceeds to tank several of these punches one after the other in his base form. For future reference, I think it would be much safer to take Whis's statements at face value and possibly even the statements made by some of the Gods of Destruction as the level of power being utilized by Goku is far beyond something which Roshi & Krillin can comprehend.

No. The only reason Kefla could have had a chance is because Kale is the closest thing to a Legendary Super Saiyan and Caulifla’s skill and speed, but Goku and Vegeta are capable of beating gods. Goku and his years of training, fused with Vegeta and his years of training, against 2 kids - and not to mention the evolution of the two main people (SSJBE and UI, and Vegito can go SSJB Kaioken x 10). Goku was tired, having had to fight Kale and train Caulifa during that fight: Goku vs Kefla was a controlled berserk Saiyan vs a tired Goku.

Goku could beat them when he was in Ultra Instinct, but Vegito is Goku and Vegeta’s power level combined and significantly multiplied, so no, Kefla is not stronger than Vegito.

Yes. Kefla is stronger because it took Incomplete Ultra Instinct Goku to beat her. According to Perfecr Power Level List wiki, it is 40 Quintillion. That's 40,000,000,000,000,000. Vegito Blue's power level is 180 Billion. That's 180,000,000,000. Vegito Blue was also weaker than Super Saiyan Rage Trunks. Trunks beat Fused Zamasu while Vegito Blue failed to do so.

IMO, Kefla is stronger than Vegito from the Future Trunks Saga.

Kefla in super saiyan form was in a similar level to Goku Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x20. They exchanged hits, once Kefla was sent flying to a rock, hardly hit, and in another hit catching Goku kinda off guard, she knocked him down in Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x20. Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x20 is the power of 20 times the power of a super saiyan blue. So when she turned super saiyan 2, she had around the power of 40 times a tired super saiyan blue Goku.

Vegito from the Trunks Saga had the power of 2 super saiyan blue multiplied "tens of times". It could be 40 times, 60 times, 80 times etc. But since then Goku and Vegeta received several senkais. Goku since then had the zenkai from recovering from Zamazu, the zenkai from fighting with Piccolo and Gohan, the Zenkai from recovering from the battle with Gohan, the zenkai from the fight with Freezer after bringing him from hell, probably another zenkai from the energy Freezer gave him after fighting Jiren. And IIRC it was said by Jiren that Goku and Vegeta were stronger than the ones he fought before. So the fusion of a super saiyan 2 (Caulifla) with a legendary super saiyan type saiyan who walked through a super saiyan blue kamehameha (Kale), who was called a monster by a super saiyan blue Vegeta, and who catched the attention of Jiren to knock her down, has to be incredible powerful. Other people will disagree, but the berserker version of Kale is stronger than a super saiyan blue imo. Then the fusion of her with another saiyan can be stronger than the fusion of 2 super saiyan blue.

  • There are a bunch of inaccurate statements. For example, It wasn't stated that Goku was using SSJB+KK*20 Against Kefla. It was more or less implied that Goku was going SSJB+Kaioken*1(As Beerus stated that Goku barely had the stamina to turn Kaioken/ Turning KK**20 Would be overkill). Secondly, Kale in her Berserker state was easily K.O'd by a simple power impact from Jiren and the SSJB Kamehameha used by Goku was suppressed as we see the effort put in was significantly less compared to the Kamehameha against Merged Zamasu etc. – Gary Andrews30 Apr 20 '19 at 19:31
  • Also, Kale was simply disturbing the tournament, hence Jiren intervened. He was about to attack Universe 2 before Vegeta did when they initially disrupted the entire tournament. Also we see an exhausted SSJG Goku easily hold his own (With an advantage against an LSSJ Kale). Even Based on your argument, if we assume Kale is stronger than SSJB which isn't really the case, she would have to be so much stronger to offset the difference between an SSJ2 and SSJB character which is extremely significant. – Gary Andrews30 Apr 20 '19 at 19:33

I don't believe Kefla is on par with Vegito in any sense. If we're going by the actual Dragon Ball series, and being logical, Kefla, even combined with Kale's suppressed berserk (oxymoron, I know...) transformation isn't comparable to Vegito at all. First off, Caulifla is comparable to Goku and Vegeta from the Majin Buu saga in terms of power. She faces off against Goku as a Super Saiyan 2, and they seem to be evenly matched. Berserk Kale, sure, was able to tank Super Saiyan Blue Goku and others before being bested by Jiren, but they did NOT fuse whilst Kale was in that form. Kale suppressed that form, and we can only guess that it had to have decreased her power level significantly, as they were seen struggling against Super Saiyan God/Blue Goku when they were fighting. Not to mention, that Goku was just finishing up his skirmish with Jiren and such. He is not in shape to fight at all. But let's say he somehow is at full strength and Kefla is still giving him trouble; that's where Ultra Instinct Sign Goku appears and finishes the job with relative ease. UI Sign is Jiren level, right? Wrong. Jiren had no problem dispatching UIS Goku when he attacked him in episodes prior. In the Daizenshuu, Vegito was said to be beyond the strength level of Super Saiyan 3 Goku in his base-form during the Majin Buu saga. That'd put Vegito at around 400x boost on top of SS3 Goku. That's a good bit, right? Well we can apply this boost to any of Vegito's forms, which blows his power levels out of the water. I can elaborate some other time, as I have already written too much on this so far, but I digress. During the Future Trunks arc, Vegito goes toe to toe in the Anime against Merged Zamasu. The Potara Zamasu and Goku Black used literally cannot have the same multipliers as the earrings Goku and Vegeta used, because if they did then that'd make no sense in itself. Zamasu was around Super Saiyan 2 level, and that's even a stretch considering that Goku beat him in that sparring match everyone forgets about. Immortality is the only reason Zamasu is viable in that arc, but once again, I'm getting into a rabbit hole of Trunks arc garbage. Anyways, the Potara that Zamasu and Black used have to have ridiculously better multipliers than Vegito's if they were to be on-par with not only base-form Vegito, but Super Saiyan Blue Vegito because if you take the same boost from (I'm gonna call them U7 Potara because they're from Universe 7) the U7 Potara and add it to Merged Zamasu, they'd be significantly weaker than SSB Vegito. Maybe they'd be around SS2/God Vegito range. Anyways, back to the ToP, where Jiren is the beast of the arc. It is stated multiple times that there is a being that is able to defeat their own God of Destruction, and it is heavily implied that this is Jiren and that God of Destruction would be Belmod. Now I am not particularly sure if Jiren would've had to use his Full-Power state to defeat Belmod, but I'm going to say that I doubt he had too. That already puts Jiren at GoD level. Goku is able to overpower Jiren (suppressed) with Ultra Instinct Sign after he learns a little, and then basically dominate Jiren once he masters Ultra Instinct. Therefore using UI, Goku would be stronger than or on the same level as Belmod. Now, I highly doubt that Belmod is the weakest God of Destruction. With that, we can say Goku is stronger or as strong as than Belmod - Belmod is stronger than at least 1 maybe a few GoDs - and it is implied and stated multiple times that Merged Zamasu is on par with gods, we have to assume that those 'gods' are the Gods of Destruction because no other type of god (Kaio-shin, etc.) that we know of is anywhere near that level of strength in the show at that point, so it is safe to assume that Zamasu is referencing Gods of Destruction when comparing himself to them. Now, if we tie this all together, that puts Super Saiyan Blue Vegito around God of Destruction-level power. First off, this arguement could end here, because if Kefla was as strong as or stronger than Vegito, she could've beaten UI Sign Goku because it was only the second time he used it, therefore he was still learning, and he was significantly weaker in that state than he was in his battle with Jiren that pushed him to MUI. UI Sign Goku is around GoD level, because if he wasn't it wouldn't make any sense in regards to where the series was at that point. So Vegito is around UIS level. Kefla is around a fully recovered SSBKK (IF YOU REALLY WANNA STRETCH IT, SSBKKx20) Goku. That is why I believe Vegito is stronger than Kefla. Thanks for your time.
