So reincarnated Itachi used Izanagi on Kabuto. He then used Tsukuyomi later. How is that possible?

Doesn't answer your question, but Itachi used Izanami, not Izanagi – Wondercricket Aug 15 '19 at 16:42

I have no clue how it works for a reincarnated shinobi, but I guess he used one of his eyes to use izanami and the other eye to use tsukuyomi. – Sahan De Silva Aug 16 '19 at 2:56
  • It was Kotoamatsukami from Shisui's eyes he used initially if I'm correct to get rid of Kabuto's reincarnation control. Later he used Izanami on Kabuto. – Sahan De Silva Jan 22 at 3:22

Itachi did not use Izanagi to Kabuto, he used Izanami. He set up the Izanami preparation in Tsukoyomi mode, so if Kabuto will be trapped in the loop in Tsukoyomi as well.
