Yichang Shengwu Jianwen Lu is listed and shown in a lot of anime websites. But is it anime? It clearly is in chinese, why is it consider it anime then? Was it animated in Japan or something? Is its animation style anime-like? Or what?.

  • I want to know specifically if Yichang Shengwu Jianwen Lu is anime and can be discussed here. The linked answer doesnt answer that. It just gives a general answer that applied to this case doesnt answer the question. Is this animation being made in Japan? Or is it made in China? If it is animated in Japan but produced in China, should it be considered anime or not? Is it being made and produced in Japan for chinese audiences or is it produced in China? – – Pablo Aug 20 '19 at 13:01
  • If you read the other linked questions and all the answers from the questions linked above, you'll see that there are different views as to what is considered an anime. After reading them, I think it's safe to say it answers your queries. Regarding its production, a quick Google search should give you results you need to know. – W. Are Aug 20 '19 at 13:06
  • @w.are Nope, it doesnt. BTW, if that would be the case, you could answer here in the comments with no problem. I think that proves my point. – Pablo Aug 20 '19 at 13:08
  • Dunno but I'm looking at Google search results now and it has information regarding the animation's production, unless my eyes are fooling me. Also, I did say not just the answers in the thread linked by Aki Tanaka and Maroon but the other threads linked in the threads they linked as well. Have you read those as well? – W. • Yes, it has information about production and it doesnt say a thing about if it it's japanese or chinese. For the character names, you could think it's chinese. For some company involved with it working in other animes, you could think it's japanese. Only someone who knows more about this animation could really answer – Pablo Aug 20 '19 at 13:19
