The mizuki in question is this mizuki. Her personal blogs (in Japanese) are 56番線 on ameblo and note.mu/mizuaoi. Her Twitter handle is @mizukizuiaoi. Or is she just only producing music under the name SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:mizuki? She seems to be the vocalist for the band "Itsue", where she is also known by the single name "mizuki" (but it's written in ...

seijitsu's answer does a good job of identifying what's going on with most of your examples, though I'll add that "Ch19ヲFIRE★" is meant to be read "Chikyuu wo Kasei" (1 = "i", 9 = "kyuu", "Fire" = 火 = "ka", ★ = 星 = "sei", "kasei" = 火星 = "Mars", but "kasei" also = 加勢 = "reinforcements"), which is something like "Reinforcements to Earth". However, this goes a ...

Please see this answer to the question "Why do some works [anime, manga, novels] have a trailing dot?" for the information about Japanese decorative use of typographical symbols such as 「@」,「&」,「/」, and 「★」. 「零」(rei) is decorative but also accomplishes a clever play-on-words. Rei means "zero" and the number 0 looks like the English capital letter O, so ...

Volume 3 of the Aldnoah.Zero Blu-rays came with a collection of four short narratives about Inaho and Yuki's life well prior to the events of episode 1. In the second of them, 「春の遠足」 "A Trip in Spring", we learn that Inaho, Yuki, and their mother had been on a train to somewhere when Heaven's Fall occurred. Their mother was killed immediately, probably ...

We found out right at the beginning of episode 1 (around 0:22) that Asseylum herself left Vers just two months before the start of the show, at which point she is in Earth orbit (in Cruhteo's castle). Also, in episode 21, we see that Klancain (Cruhteo Jr.) has come from Vers to meet Slaine. So transit from Earth-vicinity to Mars without the Hypergate surely ...

ASIMOV is kind of OS (or program), used by Earth force. It's main module to control kataphrakt as you seen in the image above. But who develop it, what else it can do, it's still unknown (for now).

The best way to describe it is not by knowledge, but freedom. The people who were sent to Mars were not all "scientific minds". There were some normal people (as seen in the current Mars colonization efforts), but these people were easily manipulated, as seen in how the "knights" swore loyalty in return for Aldnoah, and thus suppressed the masses. The ...

The name itself just seems to be a reference to the science fiction writer Issac Asimov who the show draws a lot of parallels to. The team behind the show seem to be classic sci-fi fans. Edit: In Asimov's Short Novel series including The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun a detective is charged with investigating a murder of a member of a group of people that ...

Tanegashima island is prominently featured, most probably due to the fact that: The headquarters of JAXA, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, the Tanegashima Space Center spaceport is located at the southeastern end of the island. About Tanegashima Space Center: The Tanegashima Space Center (種子島宇宙センター Tanegashima Uchū Sentā) (TNSC) is a Japanese space ...

This is only vaguely an answer to my question, but: the second OST included the piece "Harmonious" (also used as the ED for episode 23), which is a vocal piece to roughly the same melody as "AL℃-@" (this is a standard Sawano trick, as with "MKAlieZ" vs. "aLIEz"; "アZ-Kat" vs. "A/Z"; and so forth). Like "AL℃-@", it has a 16-bar vocal introduction from 0:19 to ...

It looks like "No differences" shows up for the first time in episode 2 of the second cour (episode 14 overall) at around 19 minutes in. My ears explode with delight.

I believe Aldnoah refers to the power/energy itself. "Aldnoah.Zero" or "Aldnoah Zero" is never named or stated in-series. It could just be meant as a cool title, but I like to imagine it refers to the Terrans who fight without Aldnoah or other Versian weapons/technology. ;)

No, there is nothing in the series that indicates that Aldnoah drives possess consciousness or intelligence. Aldnoah was awakened by Emperor Vers, but, according to the wiki, it can be activated by voice but "will continue running regardless of the activator's location, but only if the individual with the activation factor either loses consciousness, ...

If you had watched episode 12 of the first season, then you should know that the battle at Saazbaum's Landing Castle ended with the Earth forces' victory. That would mean they obtained all the castle's facilities and all the information contained on that fortress. With Inaho being able to use the Aldnoah Drive, they could have reactivated the fortress and ...

I figured out the answer myself. It's because it was a jump cut. The moment Inaho touched the Aldnoah drive, it had a jump cut to the present time where the Deucalion was underwater because they are docked at the beach where we saw Inko and the rest of the girls in bikinis prior. So it was just a jump cut that wasn't very clearly executed.

First of all, to clear up some misunderstandings The martians were able to travel from mars to earth. It just takes a long time. That is how the Princess Asseyleum and Count Klancain were able to come to earth. (Thanks to Euphoric for the source) The end of the war was due to the destruction of the hypergate. The war was intended to be waged with constant ...

I think both series are just drawing upon many common tropes and most prominently ∀ Gundam, which sports a very similar plot to both series and also predates both. Although in that case it's the Moon instead of Mars and it's more about an ongoing invasion than trying to be liberated from anything. More examples include, the majority of the rest of the ...

I watched the entire series again at 15-second interval. No differences was unused, not even a short part was played. I later found out that No differences and AL℃-@ were cut songs. As mentioned further in their link, it is not to be confused with "Long Song, Short Scene" - songs played but with very minimal playtime, in which case I can attest no ...
