"Plus Ultra" is actually a Latin Phrase. It translates to "Further Beyond." In My Hero Academia, it has been adopted as the school motto of U.A. High. It's uncertain in-universe whether or not the motto was around before All Might, or if he's the one who came up with it, and his alma mater adopted his personal motto.
In-context, it is an extremely gung-ho ...
One of the requirements for getting One for All is intent/will - both the person passing it on needs to want it to be passed on and the person getting it needs to want to have it.
As any fight between Stain and Midoriya would lack this component (Midoriya wouldn't ever want to pass One for All to Stain - and Stain would have to know about it and want it), ...
We know she can't make anything she has on her - including her clothing - invisible, so if she's totally invisible she's naked. We've seen her taking off her battle uniform (yes, the gloves and the boots) for tactical advantage.
His full name is Toshinori Yagi which is a Japanese name as you said and according to wiki his birthplace is Tokyo.
Other evidences are:
His mentor, Nana Shimura, is also Japanese.
All Might also go to U.A. High School and his homeroom teacher was Gran Torino.
The Hero Billboard Chart that is usually mentioned in the manga is not the world rankings. This should be obvious since only Japanese heroes are in there and since it is named Hero Billboard Chart JP in the manga.
To quote from the wiki,
The Hero Billboard Chart JP is an event that presents the official rankings of Japanese Pro Heroes.
If I have to ...
Bakugo wasnt the only one to notice similarities between Midoriya and All Might.
Asui pointed out when they were traveling in a bus that Midoriya quirk was like All Might's in season 1 episode 9. Later in season 2 episode 10, before fighting with Midoriya , Shoto Todoroki told Midoriya than since his father was Endeavor who wanted to defeat All Might, if ...
Even in Japanese they say "Plus Ultra!". It is more a reference to when All Might saved many people despite being tired, while having a smile in his face, because he always goes beyond his limits. Plus Ultra is (as far as I concluded from Season 1) when he does something with all his power and more. When he gives his all doing something and even a bit more ...
Though Mineta has been shown to be dumb, pervert and a coward, he has very high Intelligence, Co-operation and Technique rating from the databook. Mineta Minoru - Quirks and Abilities
Further clearance was then provided by the author himself,
I've received a number of letters asking how on earth he managed to pass the Entrance Exam. So I'll take this ...
It would seem that all the unique users of One For All added their own power in the quirk- stockpile (One For All), as the earlier quirk user (his younger brother) couldn't defeat All For One, but All Might did.
It means that all the previous users had some powers of their own, which they passed down with the powers they had themselves received.
As Recovery Girl explained her quirk only accelerates a person's natural healing rate with a proportional cost to their own energy.
So since Deku's bones could heal over time her quirk could make them heal faster, but you wouldn't expect a person to be able heal having a good few major internal organs crushed over any length of time so Recovery Girl can't ...
I can think of a few reasons.
Its a Shonen Anime. The supreme rule in Shonen is Rule of Cool. Other than this, tropes like Special Attacks, Limit Break, Finishing Move among others also apply.
As the flagship fight of the season 1, it was required to be longer than "1-Punch". (Though One Punch Man shows it can work. Lol)
Since it ...
I'll start by saying that Todoroki actually only has one quirk, called "Half-Cold Half-Hot", which is a hybrid of Endeavor's "Hellflame" quirk and his mom's ice quirk. At this point in the anime (I haven't read the manga), there are no characters that have naturally been born with more than a single quirk.
Hybrid quirks are not unheard of, since Todoroki ...
Just having one of freezing/fire quirk has a major weakness. Your own body is not immune to the effects of your quirk. We see this in the sports festival when Todoroki's body starts to freeze because he wasn't using his fire quirk.
We also see the same thing much later in the manga when Endeavor's body gets too hot while fighting the new and stronger Noumu.
蛙 has ア【a】 as one of the on-yomi, and kanji compound is usually read in on-yomi (some also have a reading in kun-yomi, but in general, all of the kanji in the kanji compound are read in either kun-yomi only or on-yomi only, but not mixed).
Some example where 蛙 is read as "a":
蛙黽 (abou): tree frog (toad)
蛙鳴 (amei): frog calling
蛙鳴蝉噪 (ameisensou): ...
Living without a stomach isn't as impossible and absurd as it first sounds as removing the entire stomach is currently one of the more common treatments for stomach cancer too.
You can find a short explanation how part of the small intestine turns into something like a pouch to take over the role of the stomach in this video, while there are numerous ...
Her power only goes so far a few spoilers are ahead so if you haven’t finished season 2 then move along
During the UA quirk games Deku breaks his arms and fingers multiple times in the fight with toderoki. Recovery girl explains that she can’t repair everything and because of Dekus lack of restraint and the damage he caused he now has a perminint scar on ...
The disillusionment that Stain and (some) villains have of the hero society is that too many heroes are only in the business for fame, glory, or money. Supposedly, Stain saved Midoriya from the flying Nomu because he saw that Midoriya exhibited traits of being a true hero and would genuinely risk his life for anyone. Many of Stain's later copycats like ...
First, What is One For All?
One For All is the union of two Quirks: A Quirk that stockpiles power, and a Quirk that could be transferred to others. This mutation was caused by the Quirk, All For One.
One For All cannot be stolen by force:
One For All will not transfer to a new recipient unless its user wishes it, thus One For All cannot be forcibly ...
That's a highly speculated topic in the fan base. Since we don't know much about both quirks, we can only judge from what we know.
Since Eri was able to restore wounds on Izuku, we can say that she can restore All Might's wound too. Eri can even rewind someone to their non-existence which, of course, means death.
We know that quirk bullets can make a ...
Taking into account that similar quirks exist in world of MHA, and that All Might is the most popular hero in the world, it is quite easy to imagine people with strength-empowering quirks, who want to be just like All Might, including attack styles. This pretty much covers all similarities between Midoriya's and All Might's powers.
Unlike the rest of ...
Even though both the character are Hero antagonist, still there is quite a difference between these two.
Hero Killer: Stain aka Chizome Akagur
Stain is a cold, unforgiving man with a sense of duty to cleanse society of false heroes. He believes that those who work as Heroes to collect income are unworthy of being called the name and only All Might is a ...
In the first picture, it was Todoroki wearing his hero costume. In episode 6 to 8, they had mock battles wearing their costumes. It is also explained that the students can give their own design for their costume.
The second one, it's in the Sports Festival where they cannot wear hero costumes because they will have an advantage to their enemies.
One for All gives unlimited power?
No, it doesn't. You can't just get 101% power, where is the extra 1% coming from? Out of nowhere? Nothing comes out of nothing! By 100% power, it means the power of all the successors of One for All (as far as I understood).
Thus again, it is impossible to get unlimited power.
And if you based your question (clearly you ...
ブツブツ or ぶつぶつ (the same word, just in katakana vs hiragana) is a standard Japanese onomatopoeia for mumbling, muttering, or grumbling to oneself. This list of Japanese onomatopoeia includes ぶつぶつ in it, along with many other onomatopoeia that show up in manga.
It means "Above and Beyond!" which is All Might's motto and his ideal vision for all heroes to aspire to.
Also, the English words "plus" and "ultra" sound kinda cool to the Japanese audience already, and combining them together is double trouble :)
All Might himself said:
After I've given Izuku my hair/DNA, I've gotten a lot weaker
So it would either be a one time thing, or every new user would weaken him substantially so it would still be a small number, and probably of lesser effect.
