Even if it isn't a good translation, we shouldn't go making our own name, as that isn't what people will search for. I'd be fine with changing it if there is an official translation, but barring that I think we should either keep this name or use a romanized version of the Japanese name. | |

I don't know whether or not this is an official translation, but it's how I've seen it written in English before. I agree they don't really mean the same thing. If you can find a better translation feel free to edit it in; for now, I've put the Japanese name in parentheses to avoid confusion (though there is only one sword in Nekomonogatari-Black so there isn't much room for confusion). | |

So maybe something like "Cross-over-Heart" or "Heart Crosser," since "watari" comes from the verb "wataru; 渡る" (meaning to cross over or to cover). Perhaps it's an allusion to childhood oath "cross your heart and hope to die?" | |
